Pregnant Community 2.0

So hey guys, I've been on here a long time but this is my first forum post. So, I have a good friend from college who writes novels and movie scripts. One of the problems is trying to fundraise, etc. I have convinced him to write a movie and/or a book, where the protagonist is a pregnant woman. He has some great ideas, so I told him I'd post up on here. If me and him set up a fundraising page on indiegog, kickstarter, stuff like that, would any of you guys donate, and share the link with your family and friends and get the word out? What he wants is to make something that can please the pregnant loving community, but not be so specific as to not be accessible for everyone. If you could just post on here to let me know thoughts/ideas on how to raise funds it would be much appreciated. Also, anyone on here with any sort of connection to an actor or someone in hollywood/film production that could help get his script in the right hands would be tremendous! I've read the script and given him my thoughts and he's incorporated some of them, so, I think this could be great for the community. Let me know!

As a writer and film buff myself, I'd love to support something like this. If done tastefully of course...I would never share something borderline pornographic with friends and family. What's the movie's premise?

Oh, it's not pornographic or anywhere near, it's basic premise is about a single woman, who is forced to deal with a pregnancy she didn't want and isn't sure how to handle, while at the same time dealing with religious fanatics who have their own ideas about the whole thing. But what's great is we would get to see a pregnant leading lady for the entire film, which you never get to see.

Pretty sure there was a pregnant leading lady in "Knocked Up"

Yeah, but this is a thriller drama, with a really strong pregnant leading lady, who transforms from a helpless pregnant lady stuck in a situation she doesn't know how to deal with into a strong woman who can defend herself and is ready to have and raise her child, without anyone's help. And I'm not saying it's never happened, of course there are several films with pregnant leading ladies, but they're kinda boring and about relationships, where this story is based around crime and evolution of the individual in a difficult situation that continues to grow worse until she becomes strong enough to overcomes it all. I don't want to give away too much of his story which is why I'm keeping it very general, but it's definitely not like anything anyone's made before.

Sorry, how does crime factor in?

Well, crime and obsession are key factors in the story, and crime is part of what left her in the situation in the first place. Crime then follows her, which when looking at it from an outside standpoint is the catalyst for her transformation, also the connection between her physical transformation in pregnancy to her mental and emotional transformation as a result of navigating through a hard situation.
