Ignitron Motocorp Pvt Ltd, a new electric vehicle start-up, has announced a new range of electric motorcycles under the Cyborg brand name. According to a statement by the company, Cyborg is a range of premium electric motorcycles with swappable batteries. Cyborg will roll out three variants of electric motorcycles in the mid to high-speed category, in the cruiser, regular and sports segments. Speaking on the announcement, Raghav Kalra, Founder, Ignitron Motocorp Pvt. Cyborg will also launch two more products for mass market buyers looking for good range, a powerful motor and affordable price point. According to Ignitron Motocorp, the company will have a robust sales and service network spread across India, covering the north, south and western regions of India. The company is also partnering for road side assistance, along with battery swapping stations, and pay as you go charging stations, which will be located every 1 kilometre. These are compact home charging sockets which give fast charging of 50 per cent in 30 minutes and online payments will be credited in the vendor's account with service charges and a premium fee for the vendor to earn money on supplies and services.

Ignitron Motocorp Private Limited was established in March 2021, and the company will specialise in manufacturing electric motorcycles under the Cyborg brand name. Manufacturing and assembly of the electric motorcycles have already begun at the company's plant in Manesar, near Gurugram, in Haryana. In the initial phase, the company has capacity to produce 40,000 units in the 2022-23 financial year.
